A happier more hopeful side of Halloween [smile]

Hi, folks - I find the scary creepy aspects of All Hallow's Eve (Halloween) celebrations challenging and off-putting. So I usually just celebrate All Saint's Day (November 1st) and All Souls' Day - my birthday, November 2nd. This year I'm deliberately reframing Halloween for myself - with the help of friends in Play Pod, and a couple of creative websites:
Bring Your Own Pumpkin (YesWeCarve)
Pumpkin Provided
If you happen to be inspired by the first site - I'd love to see a picture of your creation :-) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a way to copy an image of my HOPE carving on the second site.
Enjoy!
peace and blessings -

Help

Sylvia, these are great! Thanks so much for coming to play! Wishing you a peaceful and happy All Hallows.
Hi, Mamakat - thanks for coming by and for providing the inspiration :-) I am glad you liked them [smile] and I'm especially glad you started this thread in PlayPod - I've had a lot of fun with it.

oooh, Sylvia, love the pumkins and the carving spot :) Glad u joined in on the play, giggle!
I had fun carving pumpkins. A whole lot less messier than the real thing and you can start over if you make a mistake! Fun. Thank you.
What a great idea, the carve your own interactive! One of those Obama pumkins, wow, seriously expert carving there.
Hi, Spritelet, Ayla and CT - I loved that interactive site too. Not only was there no mess and I could start over - no danger of stabbing myself with a carving implement! I do miss getting the seeds to roast though [wry wistful smile]. I'm really glad you all had fun there :-). And *thank you* for stopping by and sharing the fun [happy look]
blessed All Saint's Day to each of you -
Sylvia
